IECD
The IECD was created in 1988 at the initiative of entrepreneurs and academics, including Xavier Boutin. Driven by the desire to show solidarity with populations in difficulty, they responded to requests from civil society actors in Madagascar (1989), Lebanon (1989) and Cameroon (1992). From these three countries of establishment, the IECD gradually extended its actions to sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, Latin America (1994) and Southeast Asia (2004).
